Case  - Toyota Materials Handling (UK) Ltd, Warrington, Cheshire A 2,000m2 extension building, creating additional storage space at a manufacturing & assembly site for this prestigious client.  As another design & build project, this enabled C21 to design in significant cost savings for the client, such as utilisation of the existing hardstanding in lieu of a new concrete floor slab.  The Local Authority stipluated a Site Investigation as a condition of Planning Approval, which C21 organised quickly and efficiently to avoid unnecessary delay of the project. The main building elevation is close to the site boundary therefore fire protective paint was applied to the main steel frame: this is a much more cost effective and long lasting solution to the traditional "boxing in" methods. The new extension joined structurally to the existing, requiring very accurate site drilling of the existing structure.  The existing air conditioning and heating systems also required relocation due to the positioning of the new structure.  C21 effectively dealt with all requirements with no significant disruption for the client. Such was the efficiency of C21s service, that the client ordered several additional works, such as toilet refurbishments, site maintenance and additional upgrades to the extension structure (see link to toilet refurbishment pictures).
